Main Street Homes Named Among Top Builders Nationwide by Builder News

May 12, 2016

There is a day each year that many Builders look forward to: the release of a prestigious roster of names that includes the best builders in the business. Main Street Homes is proud and excited to have made the list once again, this time at the #156 spot. Proud to be in the company of a diverse group of homebuilders, Main Street Homes is the #156 top builder in the country, up six spots from where they appeared on last year’s list at #162.  CEO of Main Street Homes, Vernon McClure, attributes the company’s steady rise among the best in building to the company’s commitment to listening to its customers as well as the talented team members of Main Street Homes who are never satisfied with what they do. Included among builders across the nation who specialize in everything from entry level homes to move-up residences, or active adult residences or multimillion-dollar mansions, Main Street Homes stands out as a perennial favorite for its contribution to the local housing market. The Builder News list, released annually, ranks the aggregate number of jobs in each local market that arises from the delivery of new homes.  Builder 100, in conjunction with Next 100, evaluates the collective productivity generated for local, county, state and federal taxes; including fees and regulatory expenses.  This number does not include building companies’ associates, sales and operations forces or executive teams.  Each builder is ranked according to its overall contribution to the local economy in terms of generated income for the municipality and submarket. This year's Builder News ranked Main Street Homes at the No. 156 position nationally in acknowledgment of the 181 homes closed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, with total revenue of $76 million in 2015. As Main Street Homes enters its 20th year in the business, CEO Vernon McClure notes the changes he sees among today’s buyers, stating that “homes are changing, along with colors and styles, and clients’ needs are constantly evolving.”  Main Street Homes is as dynamic as its clientele, adapting to the needs of new homeowners, and keeping relevant in new construction and design trends. As Main Street Homes continues to grow, Vernon McClure has plans to continue the company’s development in Central Virginia.  “We are very excited about our new townhomes and carriage homes on Winterfield Road in Midlothian, and we are also planning new locations and neighborhoods coming in Hanover.” Mr. McClure says he “loves what we do at Main Street Homes” and today we congratulate him and all the folks who make the magic happen on a daily basis at MSH.
