SPRINGTIME AT MAYMONT
From family scavenger hunts to behind the scenes with nature, there is MUCH to do over spring break at Maymont. There are many playful options including the “Eggtivity Zone” gathering colorful eggs, a bonnet parade, arts and crafts, as well as a visit with the Easter bunny! The official Maymont Easter egg hunt takes place on April 15 from 10:00 am until 3 pm.

MONUMENT AVENUE EASTER ON PARADE
Richmond is famous for the Monument Avenue’s Easter on Parade. Join thousands of your fellow residents to enjoy live music, delicious street food, and a springtime petting zoo with all sorts of fun activities for kids. Even “paws” are on parade for this fun event that is pet friendly! Don’t miss the highlight of the parade: the perennial favorite Pet Bonnet and People Bonnet Showcase, held from 3-4 pm on the Zayde R. Dotts Main Stage at Allen Ave. Easter Sunday, April 16 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

HISTORIC GARDEN WEEK
It’s almost time for “America’s Open House” where visitors are welcomed to beautiful gardens, homes and historic landmarks throughout the Commonwealth. This 8-day statewide event provides visitors a unique opportunity to see unforgettable gardens at the peak of Virginia's springtime color, as well as beautiful houses blooming with over 2,000 fabulous flower arrangements created by Garden Club of Virginia members. Historic Ashland, Westover Hills and Windsor Farms are all on this year’s tour; check the Virginia Garden Club website to check dates for these RVA neighborhoods! April 22, 2017-April 29, 2017.
